Civic b20b now running smooth...details inside
Long story short.......i swapped my civic 98 LX with a JDM b20b from a CRV, Along with a JDM GSR transmission..
the Type of manifold im using is a obd1 LS, All LS sensors... with obviously a jumper harness due to the fact my motor is obd2.
For awile i ran the motor with a STOCK fuel regulator and STOCK p75 ...it always felt a bit sluggish. the idle always was rough..i hated to run the a/c because the car would fall on its face ...
so what i did first was replace stock F/R with a BLOX F/R bumped in the fuel pressure along with a Chipped ECU, my ecu is now running a 2.0 base map, less fuel restriction,2 step, redline at 4000 tuned on crome
my idle is now solid, it runs like it new, no more rough idle .....for anyone who is running a p75 ecu i recommend to get it chipped with a 2.0 base map,
i did alot of googling before i could figure out my problem people always said CLEAN IACV replace TPS etc...nope...maybe in some cases....
hope i could help someone

clearly the motor is going to run lean with an ecu made for a stock 1.8.
I would not just run some random basemap. Get it tuned. Just because it feels ok doesn't mean it is.

truthfully raising the fuel pressure isnt going to affect anything. the ecu controls the duty cycle of the injectors. the ecu will read the o2 sensor to determine if its too rich and then open the injector duty cycle according

damn son....
Pretty much what you described, is kinda a given in what you should have done in the first place. You would have known by researching before you did the swap. This is basic motorswap 101 **** people figured out over a decade ago.
Helped someone, meh...maybe.
Glad its running better doe
