check engine light, b16 into 92 si hatch
alright this is for a friend of mine, for some reason he wont post here. But he just swapped a sir2 b16 with lsd into his 92 si. At first there the knock sensor wasnt wired up and that was causing the check engine light but that has been taken care of. But now, for some reason, the check engine light comes on in 3rd, 4th, and 5th gears. The light stays on till he shuts the car off, and when he turns it back on, it goes away. First and second it never comes on. And it only comes on while in vtec. Any ideas of what could be causing this? He is running the ecu that came with the engine, and using his stock si harness.

The code will be stored. Go check which code it is. Let us know what you come up with and we'll help from there. It's almost impossible for us to help w/o knowing the code.
