CG tranny, b16 LSD, 83 prelude / 86 integra shafts
Hi everybody,
The internals of the CG tranny are the same as the tranny from A18/A20 83-87 preludes and 86-98 accords. I am making a hybrid tranny of the 2nd gen prelude tranny housing and bell housing, with the integra gears, but using the prelude 5th gear set.
I want to use a LSD though. I know a B16 / 99-00 civic LSD will fit in no worries (or with some minor grinding to the case), however I don't know if the stock integra/prelude drive shafts will be compatible with such an LSD. I can only source information on driveshaft length, not diameter or spline count.
I have read over this thread already, and messaged the OP:

Please, any advice would be marvellous. Any information whether specific to my problem, or general for the honda axles/shafts would be great. If I have to, I will go to the scrap yard and pull a stock civic 99-00 diff and drive shafts for comparison. A driveshaft swap is possible too - but that brings up many more complexities with knuckles hubs etc. I don't want to go into such a complicated swap.
By the way, the integra CG transmission has gears much better for acceleration, but the 5th gear is too high with not much difference between its 4th and 5th, therefore with the prelude 5th it should be a perfect hybrid. I am rebuilding the A20 engine and transmission for my 1983 honda prelude resto/mod project. I am an active member on PP.com so if anyone is interested in my JDM, fully optioned interior projects let me know (digi dash, auto climate control, etc.).
Regards,
Hayden

Sorry, again I am still rather inexperienced with auto mechanics, so I don't quite have a proper idea of the driveshaft configuration with the 2nd gen prelude transaxle. I know it has only driveshaft, no intermediate configuration. I could be mistaken of terminology though... I am going by the OEM service manual at the moment.
