causes of worn/bad vavle stem seals
just curious as to what the end results of bad valve stem seals are, because its a pain to replace, but they came in my gasket kit set and just wanted to know if I need to replace them or not... Don't want to go through the hassle if not needed. So, white smoke out of exhaust be a symptom, or maybe loud ticking noise coming from the front of the motor... those are some of the problems I had with my car before I disassembled it. Thanks for the help!

unless you want some bad resonence in your head, I'd change them. Always take car of your valves if you have new one replace them. It's a no brainer.

The thing is, I don't want to replace them if they are in good condition still... Save the extras for the future when they actually do go bad, but I needed to know some of the symptoms so that I can declare whether or not they are bad... thanks for the reply, and I do take care of my car.
