car won't go over 2000 RPM's!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i don't know what is wrong with my car. i already had a check engine light to begin with and now my car won't go over 2k. its like its hitting the revlimiter but worse. its jerking really hard. luckily i was down the street from my house. i don't know what is wrong with the car. i haven't driven it since last night when it happens.

your in limp mode you must have a really bad code throwing so find what the code is then make sure to fix it.

okay see that is the problem. my car won't show a code. when you try to make it show one, it won't blink at all. also, its not the ecu b/c we have tried other ecu's in it and they show the same problem, but they do okay in other cars. my car is just FUBAR.

no i haven't, the cap and rotor were replaced when the swap was done, but the other stuff wasn't checked. i am thinking it is something like the fuel pump or something, b/c i can hear it taking in air but its like its starving for fuel. b/c it already didn't start up easily when it was cold before this happened so i am thinking it is the fuel pump.

check this first, my car did the same thing..
and my car didnt throw codes neither...
it was like a bad rev limit, but the car still moves,
and it still increases in rev, fine at idle, till u get moving
mine did it at 3000 thought, same exact symptom

i kind of had the same problem with my ls/vtec...it was the vacume hoses i had 2 mixed up and that didnt let me go past 4k check the hose connection in a manuel and in another car with the similar engine thats what i did and now mine runs great. got to be vacume hoses once you get that sorted u will be able to use the service connector.
