OK, I think the not starting problem I'm having has to do with fuel. its an 89 DX with a ZC, already swapped to mpfi. it ran before, but now it won't. the injectors are not firing. its getting spark and timing is dead on. I tested the wiring to the resistor box. when I hooked up the test light from the positive battery terminal and touched it to the yel/blk wire going into the resistor it lights up. But when I do the same thing with the negative battery terminal it doesn't. Is that right? should it light up with the positive or negative?

Hey man i know this is gonna sound like a big pain but pull your fuel rail loose and pull your injectors. test each one by pulling it off and getting an injector plug off of an old wiring harness and strip the wires. put a 1.5v AA batter to the wires after you hook a fuel hose with a bit of carb cleaner/sea foam to the other end and hit it with @45psi from the air compressor. if the injectors are flowing you know it's in your wiring

I did something similar to that. I pulled the fuel rail and injectors and turned the ignition over. me and my friend held the injectors in the rail and they didn't fire. when we pulled the injectors out of the rail, then fuel shot out. does it sound like it could be the wiring?

Yes, sounds like someting to do with the wiring and electrical system, but i'm unfamiliar with the zc fuel injection system.
