Yes, it would matter the year -depending on what you are trying to do.
You can use some of the wiring from the JDM H22 to extend or add missing wires to your US harness -again depending on what you are doing.
Tell us what it is that you are doing with some detail so that you can get advise.
What year, model car?
What year H22, or OBD1 or OBD2 would be helpful information so people can properly answer your question.

it's 2000 civic, i believe its obd2(b?) and i'm going to be picking up a jdm h22, which is obd1. i picked up a 00 ex harness already, might can get a si harness.

it's 2000 civic, i believe its obd2(b?) and i'm going to be picking up a jdm h22, which is obd1. i picked up a 00 ex harness already, might can get a si harness.

so would i just need a obd1 prelude harness, i think its 92-95? does it need to be a complete one?
