Can i use a D16Z harness with a OBD1 B16a (both JDM)
I'm building a rally car and found a good clean EG rolling shell that originally had a 1.3 carb engine with some form of ECU for timing/ignition or whatever and which i have already ripped out with no grace or mercy so its fucked at this stage! I bought a JDM B16a from a 93 JDM XSi integra (with only 43k miles and in mint condition visually!!)and I also can get the harness for this car/engine but will have to pull it out of the car myself which i dont really fancy having to do, but i do have an OBD1 D16z harness that came from a 95 JDM coupe. Am i right in thinking that i can use this harness and just wire in the Vtec Solenoid, Vtec Oil Pressure, Vtec Ground and Knock Sensor wires in order for it to work or would it be better to pull the original harness for the B16 engine?

You can easily use the Z6 which is from a SOHC VTEC motor so the VTEC solenoid and pressure switch plugs are there. If the car is a 92 no matter what model it is, using the Z6 harness will be plug and play, other than you will need to add the wire for the knock sensor. If it's a 93-95, you'll need to wire the VTEC solenoid and pressure switch from the shock towers to the ECU then of course the knock sensor.
