Can i use a 96-98 dx harness in my 99 ek??
hey everyone i have the possibility of getting a 98 ls motor, tranny, ecu. and i want to use a the dx wiring harness but the problem is that i have a 99 cx hatchback. can i swap in an older obd2a harness to use? someone was telling me i cant because in a 99-00' civics the wiring harness are integrated in the chassis???

Why not use your stock harness? You are non-VTEC now, and are going to another non-VTEC engine so you dont have to run those wires. I have never done that so I cant say for sure what you would need.

oh shoot the reason is i have a 99 ls swap but a 98 ecu! the 98 ecu wont work with 99 civic hatch cx wiring because this version b of obd2. but does anyone out there know if i can swap in a 96-98 wiring harness to solve this problem?

No the 96-98 harness will not work, just reuse your stock 99 engine harness. If you want to use the 98 LS ECU, you'll need to get an OBD2 to OBD2B harness.
