Can I trust these guys?
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
japanstarmotor.com
Just called them up and they said they could give me a 94-95 gsr longblock for 2200 without delivery. I would pick it up since I live in Maryland
He told me this could work with my 2000 obd-II car ...just swap out the block and hook up the sensors n all the good stuff. (He even told me he would do a compression test right in front of me! )
How's that? for comparision hmotors has the same longblock listed for 1800 plus shipping.
I have no idea if this company is legit.

So I have to get an origional obd-II motor???
<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by RidinlowHatch »</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote"> wont work unless you change out some parts.</TD></TR></TABLE>
I was planning to put all the obd-II parts on there....wouldnt that work?
Vtecvillain:
"You can also run the motor as a full OBD2 setup as well. You will need to change the oil pump to a US OBD2 pump. If you still have your old harness, ECU, intake manifold and accessories from the original motor, just swap those on and it will be nothing more than a direct replacement after changing those parts. "
i just did a search on japanstarmotor and its not looking good might go back to hmotorsonline

so your going from a 00 obd2 gsr and getting a 94 gsr ob1. then yes, you can take everything you need off the oo gsr and put the obd2 parts on the new motor. what did you do? blow it up or something?

the only real difference is the oil pump.. everything else is the same.. just switch out whatever other parts you may need.. if its a japanese motor even a 2000 would have a diff oil pump, because they don't have secondary crank angle sensors on their motors.. hmotors is very reputable. i've done lots of business with them. never heard of the other company yet though.. hmotors has it for 1800 then shipping is around 250, still cheaper than the other guys..
