Icon3 can i rev 9k

ok so i have a 94 gsr ls vtec w b18b block
new bearings
new crower econo h beam rods
arp bolts
gsr oil pump water pump and timming belt
je 9.2-1 forged pistons
stock 95 gsr head and skunk 2 pro 1 cams /w aem adj gears
with custom gsr intake w secondarys removed

i haven boosted it yet but i tuned it on s300 in a p06 it made 137 hp and 101 ft-lbs so it did ok with no boost and aconservative tune i reved to 7.5 and the curve didnt drop can i twist it to 9k once and a blue moon without causing damage or what do yall think i can do

not without upgraded valvetrain. not sure why you would run stock valvesprings with pro1s...

that's a lot of needless info just to ask a question already in the post title..

what you should ask is what are the limitating factors relating to rev. limit?

when you figure that out, you can look at everything you've done with the motor and decide if the results are worth the risk. will the rod go through the block..? will a valve drop, turning the piston into a grenade? you're call.

No. Unless you want to buy a new motor. Kyden has it right. Going for 9k is all in the valve train.

Thats B16 torque levels and HP levels. I wouldn't say thats "ok" with a LS/Vtec. Especially with those cams in there. If you really do have a "stock" head in terms of valve springs with those cams, you're already asking for trouble.
