Can anyone figure this out?
My Brother Has a DX 94 civic hb and purchased a (good deal) 99 gsr complete swap w\ a obd1 gsr ecu.
So how do we wire the 99 obd2 motor to the obdI harness & then to the odb1 ecu. I need to know excact wire colors and pin#'s to the obd1 ecu if extra wires are needed or to be changed.
thank you

Re: Can anyone figure this out? (KAMiN)
I am going to use the harness in the hb! but i know that the harness on the engine we bought are in obd2 color. The only difference between the wires on a obd1 & 2 is the wires are different color and that is what i'm trying to figure out. Everyone knows how to hook up a obd1 motor harness to thier obd1 HB harness because there are posted wire charts for the extra wires needed and on the HYbrid site. Guess what! there is NO pink and blue wire on the obd2 motor harness so am i just suppose to guess what the new color is for the obd2 motor harness? NO, thats why i asking if anyone has done this kind of swap.
can some telll me how to hook up the obd2 engine harness to my factory dx hb car harness that runs under the dash and up to the passenger and driver side and then stops because of the plug-ins for the motors harness?
thank you

Umm.
Get an OBD1 engine harness and ECU? Shouldn't be too expensive. I think that would be the easiest solution.
I don't think the body harness in the OBD1 civic is going to plug into the OBDII ECU you have.
If you won't do that, get a voltmeter and check for continuity between the posts on the harness plugs and whatever sensor/solenoid are trying to wire up.
Good Luck

Please listen to what I'm saying:
KEEP the GS-R engine harness - it WILL plug right into your DX underhood harness. I have done this many times from experieince, so I'm not just making **** up. From there just plug in the ECU. All you need to do is add the VTEC, knock sensor, and secondary butterfly wires onto the Civic's harness that runs through the firewall and into the ECU.
I have done this with my 1998 Type R swap, and have done it countless times at the shop I work at and at home on friends' cars. This will keep you from having to use an old Civic engine harness with old injectors and also keeps you from having to rewire the distributor too.
It's easy - just plug it in!
Good luck!
