CAI for H22 in 93 civic?
Im sure this is going to sound noob as hell, but thats what these forums are for. I am looking at getting a CAI for my h22 swap. Would i have to buy one for a h22 or one for a 93 civic?

Wow, so its neither huh? I would never have thought that. Cool deal, thanks guys. How much did the ITR CAI run ya, just curious? Oh, and did you have any problems whatsoever installing it?

Re: (AudioFuct)
I have a 97-01 lude 3" AEM cai. I would think the ITR cai work fine too, probably better. With the one I'm using, it barely fits through the resonater hole on the frame rail but that hole can be sized bigger and the intake must be cut to the correct length.
I've actually had 2nd thoughts on installing my lude one and getting the ITR instead. Just because there is less headache.

So you have to cut the hole bigger to fit the ITR CAI? So, if im reading all these replies correctly, either way i go (Lude CAI or ITR CAI) im gonna need to cut the resonator hole bigger?

no, the ITR doesn't go through the stock hole at all. It goes down along inner side of the frame rail (right in front of the stock passenger side mount.....or where it used to be if you've got an h22), beside the a/c lines, and then turns again under the frame rail.

I've got a ITR intake which is 3" and it clears the front of the H22 tranny fine.

The only reason you'd need a good suspension is to keep from bottoming out and/or if you're into road racing/auto-x.
For daily driving, you're completely fine.
What does too much power have to do with not being able to turn?
You can't go 60mph, and throw it around a 90deg. corner
If you mean it's HARD to turn, then keeep p/s.

ohh yea. the itr cai owns.
too bad car isn't drivable now =X this transferring **** is a pain in the ***.
and just like fastwanabe said, itr cai clears the tranny mount no problems.

Posion: On what mount kit? HCP or HASport? or does it clear both?
I'm would think it would clear both, especially HCP but HASport has the lower frame rail mount. I wanted if it would affect it. I have HCP anyway though.

Yes it will clear them both, I have HCP and it is just fine, but it will for sure clear the HASport too!
