cable trans OBD0 LS into OBD1 Del Sol
Long story short.....
I am helping a friend swap a 92 b18a LS motor with cable trans into a 95 Del Sol that had an automatic tranny with the d16z6 motor.
This has been a real headache, I was on vacation when he bought this swap and he did not listen to my advice about finding a hydro tranny.
Regardless, the engine is in and almost completely wired up. Is there a way to use the VSS from a hydro tranny? It looks like the cable tranny uses a speedo cable to the speedo head. Obviously he has the Del Sol speedo and we need a vss signal to the ECU to prevent safe mode.
Has anyone done an auto to stick swap in a 5th gen? We are also having difficulties with the clutch cable length.
Any and all help will be appreciated.

Re: cable trans OBD0 LS into OBD1 Del Sol (xrdriver)
Hey
I've searched HT tons, and as far as can be confirmed from this site, the B-- OBD1 VSS from Gizmo (who either got that to you sunday, or will get it to me monday) is going to work fine, although because of the final drive difference the speed will be off.
Have you and R.M. gotten the distributor belt on?
I have the throttle body you needed, its all ready to go.
