Definitely not do it if I were you, unless you want to be different. You are better luck with a B-series motor, much more simple and done many times.

There was a thread with this ugly civic with an ugly accord motor.

with the money and effort of what your trying to do is not worth due to the fact that it would be easier and cheaper just to put in a B or a H-series motor

Has the V6 Accord motor in a Civic been done? I know that you will be stuck w/ Automatic Trans though... no Stick for V6 accord. the old ones anyway.

Accord V6 = 200hp
Integra Type R engine = 195hp
H22A Prelude engine = 195/200hp

The Accord V6 will require shitloads of custom fabbing to get it to work, and did you also not think that the V6 engine will have an auto tranny as well?

You'll get 200hp with the other two, with little extra work envloved over the stock engine.

v6 swap would be way too heavy, i'd woop up on it with a type r swap on the 1/4 mile and not sacrifice handling on the streets. Plus it's a hella lot cheaper.

For the amount of money you will spend on doing that swap, you could do not only a B or H series motor, but you could afford to do a K-series swap. The J30 does not have near the aftermarket support you will find with a K,H, or B. And you will end with not only a faster car but a better Handling car with the K or B.

Good luck to you if you decide to do it, it will be very unique, but I think with the money you will spend you could have a much faster and more reliable car going with a different motor.

Plus the 98-02 V6 Accord Auto Trannys are kinda sketchy. My wife had to have hers replaced at 75k miles. and there was recalls and stuff w/ them.

Perfect!
Exactly what I was going to respond with.

Not to mention there is little/no aftermarket support for the v6.
