Default Buying a LS swap soon, Question about immoblizer

I emailed a company that sells engine swaps to give me a quote on how much a 00-01 swap would be and the guy told me if I was to get a 00-01 LS swap I would have to get a key cut from the dealer because the ECU has a immoblizer. Is there anyway out of it? BTW I have a 00 civic ek so I would have to get a 00+ swap. All i need to know is there a way out of it and is it easy, I dont want it to be described how its done because I know this is could be a thief question

Integra:
OBD2A 96-99
OBD2B 00-01

civic
OBD2A 96-98
OBD2B 99-00

So you are worried about the ecu and engine harness plugging in, or worried about emmissions/inspections etc.?

US ecus after 99 have immobilizers, I don't think JDM ecus have immobilizers.

It depends on your state's emission laws as to whether or not you could use a different OBD ECU. I would personally go with an OBD1 jumper harness and ECU which would eliminate the problem all together. You could also have the immobilizer removed from the ECU, talk to Kenji or some of the ECU guys on here.

Having the immobilizer removed won't help at all. Cause the only reason to go OBD2 IMHO is for emmissions (maybe to run EMS). And immobilizer removal will set a CEL, which will flunk your emissions.

I did a 2001 Usdm Ls swap into my 99 hatchback and I figure out how to remove the immboilzer myself.
