Default BUNK STARTER HOLE ON EF QSD PLATE

i put my qsd kit on like 4 days ago and when i bolted up the tranny the lower starter hole would not thread in.. i took the tranny bak off and there were no threads in the plate ...sucks bad cause other than that bolt theres only four others that hold the plate to the block and that bolt wouldve helped alot.. but i had a D motor that ran on one starter bolt with the same starter for years so i went with it..and for some reason when i finally went to start the car today i had a grounding problem with the starter and it all worked fine on my Type R... so my starter is crap now and im gonna get a new one and run a direct ground..

Does anyone think that the one starter bolt couldve led to bad grounding??

Not tryin to hate on qsd cause it is top notch and everything else worked perfect but i wish i had my other starter bolt

The lower starter bolt goes through the tranny reverse like a stud and holds the starter on with a nut. Therefore there is no threads to screw a bolt in, there is just a slot to hold the head of the bolt so it does not turn.

I would not run one starter bolt. Your other option if you are too lazy to pull the tranny is to tap (thread) the tranny casing for a larger bolt. This will also require you to slightly open the hole in the start to allow the larger bolt.
