well you allready have the type-s. it would be more cost effective for you to go h22. why bother with k20. plus h22's make very good numbers with boost

Because I will still have to build the bottom end. I could always sell this whole engine as is and start from a more stock engine platform.

Well, it's tough to say, but you are going to make gobs of power with either setup so I would choose the one that is more cost effective.

And Remember...

H22a longblock = $1200 or less
K20a longblock = $2500+

Well I guess its all about preferrance. I feel to still build the h22 just to show others what can be done, cause they are still non believers..

I would say boost the H22. You already have it in your car so that saves a lot of hassle. K20 has a better flowing head from what I read, but that is less important when you're forcing the air in there. Power will not be an issue either way, since you are going to be traction limited with either setup.

h22 for turbo, read through this whole thing, it only gets better.

the k20 is an awesome motor, i say it should stay all motor just to realize what all it can do.

Noooo, keep the H. You already have it AND a spare block. Boost your hatch at modest psi, and in the mean time build your spare block for high boost

If you were starting from scratch I would def be steering you in the K's direction, I could list a million reasons to pick the K...BUT...you already have the H setup in your chassis, unless you want to start over with something completely new I think it would be more cost effective to use the H you already have. What kind of ET's are you trying to get out of the car? What chassis are you doing this in?

To find out more about the K-motors you can check out the Tech Articles on the site.

That's a hard throw up. H22 + boost makes crazy power.

K20 is much better technology, but a lot more money.

I'd say stick with the H22.

BTW wassup jason
