Budget exhaust options for my ek Civic B20 non-vtec swap
I'm planning on getting a budget header instead of using the restrictive B20 manifold. I'm very interested in the dynomax header which comes out to 2 1/2 inches (collector?). Am I better off with the smaller OBX header which the shop that's installing it says makes good power?
My biggest want is for the exhaust to be extremely quiet.
I don't want my exhaust tip to be larger than the exhaust piping leading to the end.
I do have 2 catalytic converters, 2 magnaflow 2 1/2 inch mufflers, and some piping left from the 2003 Mustang Cobra I sold a few months back. Can I scavenge any of this to work for my Civic. My only reservation about the Magnaflow muffler, if isn't too large to use anyways, is that it's chromed and I really don't want it to stick out too much (I don't feel like being prompted for drag races all the time especially ones I know I'm going to lose).
