Bogging Under Engine Load under 3500 rpms after B18c swap
Car in question is a 92-95 Civic Eg VX model. Car had B16 in before the swap, car ran fine.
After a b18c JDM motor swap completed the car started to run funny. The motor was swapped out of a 00 civic coupe. When the B18c motor was installed into the 00 coupe, the motor was set up to be emissions compliant and the CFK was wired in to the oil pump so it would not throw an emissions code. B18c ran perfect in the 00 coupe, jdm ecu was being used. CFK wiring was not done in the 92-95 Civic EG VX car when receiving the B18c... could this cause a problem ??
After the b18c was swapped into the Civic Eg VX model, the car gradually started to suffer from acceleration bogging. At first it was mild and now it seems to have become worse over time. It is possible to make the engine bog quite violently if you mash the gas when the RPM is under 3k. Once the motor gets above 3500 rpms the bogging seems to disappear. The EG HB is running a Apexi Power FC. Tried swapping in various ECU's and none resolved the problem.
Distributor cap, rotor, plugs, wires all new, plugs new as well. No oil on the spark plugs.
Car starts up quick, idles alright.
Can hear some faint popping coming from the intake arm, which tells me that there is a misfire in the cylinders and is echoing up into the intake manifold. If the car idles for a prolonged period of time 15 minutes or so, the engine dies suddenly. The motor also died suddenly once while driving on the open road.
Any thoughts and troubleshooting idea?

First off dump the Power FC into the trash. The CKF has nothing to do with it as obd1 doesn't look for it. What ECU are you using? Any check engine codes? Did you check mechanical timing?

Mechanical timing was checked over when the car was in the shop for alignment.
