BMC issues. DC non abs BMC on a EG civic...wont flow thru to proportioner
hullo.
Got a problem ~
BMC = brake master cylinder
1. replaced stock BMC + booster with a DC4 gsi unit. Fits fine. lubed up piston and filled up fluid ready to bleed out air.
2. Went to rear left wheel to bleed brakes , and upon stopming on pedal no fluid or even air is coming thru. Same goes for every corner.
3.Took out BMC , and upon hand pumping it hardly sprays a drop or two out. IE the fluid isnt getting past the reservoir.
The pedal sinks in then stops abruptly ~ which is probably the normal travel when the booster isnt charged by the engine vacuum.
Fluid simply isnt getting out of the BMC ( lines are still clear / dry)
So , the BMC is clogged somehow ~ it is a 2nd hand unit from a wrecker.
Short of taking it back , does anyone have any optins in checking it ? OR an idea of the problem ?
cheers
