blown 00 gsr motor, can u use a 94 gsr motor and use the block and head to put it back together?

ok, here is the deal. I had a 00 gsr in my eg hatch. A valve let loose and vaporized the piston, cracking the block, and the head got some good damage. I can get my hand on a really cheap 94 gsr motor. The thing it that i would swap all the sensors from the block and **** off the 00 onto the 94. Im using an obd-1 ecu in my car, and the 94 is an obd-1, so i don't think i will have any problems doing this. will My skunk 2 IM still bolt up to this? all my mounts and **** still bolt up to this? axles and shiftlinkage still be the same?
One other question, i bought a new 98 coupe-obd-2. I am thinking about putting the working gsr motor into my new car. I would get a obd-2 to obd-1 converter for the ecu, so it can stay an obd-1. would the axles, shiftlinkage, mounts still be the same, right? I want to make this as fast of a project as i can, i don't want to do the swap and forget soemthing. then I plan on putting the 98 coupe's SOHC motor into the hatch and selling it then, but i need a new ecu (obd-1) to make it work in the eg. its the vtec-e motor too. any advice on all this would be cool.
Or should i rebuild the gsr, sell the hatch with the gsr, and put something better in my coupe?
