BLEH. stupid mistake. please help!
Ok last night I was finishing up another H22 swap, this time in a 95 cx. everything's ready to go, I turn the key to start the car. the starter cranks normally, but the engine wont start. It usually takes a couple tries the first time so I try a couple more. all the sudden, there is a bright spark from the starter. now, when I turn the key, I get nothing.
I inspect the starter, and to my horror I realize that I forgot to ground it to the transmission. FAWK. I checked a couple fuses (starter signal, and a few others), none seem to be blown. did I fry my starter? a fuse? <gasp> the ECU? It was dark so I didnt check everything thoroughly yet.
where would you begin diagnosing the prob? any ideas? i knew the car wouldnt start if I was missing a ground but I didnt think anything would break.
