Default bleed clutch when replacing clutch before swap?

Hey guys, when I get my motor swap (gsr into cx), I plan on replacing the clutch while the motor is out of the car. When I install the motor afterwards, will the clutch pedal be limp and will I have to bleed it? Also, what is the best possible way to bleed the clutch? Thanks

Yes, bleed the clutch thuroughly after the swap. Actually, I would suggest bleeding it all the way to get new fluid throughout the line. Best way to do this is get someone to pump the clutch pedal quickly and then hold it to the ground while you use an 8mm wrench to open the bleeder on the clutch slave. Repeat this process and keep filling the clutch master slave cylinder until there is a constant stream of fluid with no sputtering. Good luck with the swap.

sorry but by 'sputtering' do you mean no bubbles in the line? also, what do you mean by bleeding it all the way. Also, when I remove the old motor in the car will the clutch pedal go limp? Thanks

When you bleed the clutch at the clutch slave, the fluid will come out sputtering the first few times because of the bubbles in the line. Once there are no air bubbles, the fluid will shoot out in a constant stream. And once you pull the motor out, the pedal will go limp since the rod from the clutch slave will not be pushing on the clutch fork.

::droooooooool:: is all I can say about the picture, all that's holding me back is the cout mount, and mounting the shifter I know I probably sound lazy, are those factors of the swap difficult? Thanks for the help man. Peaceeee

Anytime to introduce air into the hydro lines whether you open the bleeder screw or disconnect the lines, the pedal is going to go limp because it looses pressure. What he means by completing bleeding the system is to work all of the old fluid out while you're putting new fluid in and then bleed out any air.
