Default better for frankenstien...f23 or h23?

ive got the h22 head and im wondering which block will be better for a frank motor. the f23 vtec out the 98+ accords has more torque and the oil squirts since its vtec. the h23 i believe is less work.?

looking to build a cheap motor that will take a 100shot or a t25 at 8-10psi...pretty much just tryin to build a fun cheap motor that will last a while.

Well I have a F22A block that you could use. check sig.

As far as that though. What car is this going into? You should be able to pretty much use and F/H block but does the 98+ fit the car you are installing it into?

motor going into a 96 ex. 98 + block works. Just tryin to get some info on which block would be a better start off point.

u obviously didnt see the ssr h2b crx....making power way past 8k on a stock f23 bottom end minus the h22 pistons which are heavier btw....with the right maching and aftermarket rods or at the bare minimal rod bolts, that shouldnt be an issue...i revved mine to 7500 woth no issues for about 5,000 miles

it all depends on the correct tolerances, machining proceedures like you said, and correct torque specs...people bash too much on here before knowing what will work...the f23 block with dartons m.i.d.'s is much stronger than an h22 with the same sleeves, and the oil squirters require some custom work but can be installed onto the f23 block you have to run a stainless steel line to a girdle galley plug it wont have that special bolt from honda which turns on the oil jet system at about 28 psi...instead the squirters will be running full time...although i will add there is some welding on the f23 block which has to be done before resurfacing the head for head gasket sealing safety...you will notice on the timing belt side there are only two oil drain passages instead of the h22's double design...this is not a difficult hybrid if you take your time to find the tid bits that honda didnt add...i wish i had pics to post...

thats a big tap im guessing around 3/4 npt or around there??...i used a dome plug usually used in injection moulds with green loctite and hammered them in gently...then some lps steel stick...put oil in there for a week with no leaks crossing fingers hehe...just curious on your set up man what are you running with your h/f hybrid and power output numbers if you have them??

claying is a definite...what do you set your cam gears at 0,0?? thats what i would normally do...then i go from there for settings afterwards...i dunno how anyone else is used to doing it...and why is it i heard you can only use cometic head gaskets once and theyre throw outs...i hope thats not true...

does anyone know if you can use k20 cams with h22 head? or if you can if it would even make power? i've been turning that over in my head for a while, but don't know anything about cam specs, what will work, etc.

just curious... whats your reasoning behind this? is the lift too long/high or something? or will the cams even lign up with the rockers?

because your taking too much different parts and making them work together...different angles and valve reliefs are a big issue
