Best way to remove passenger engine mount for K20a2 swap?? (92-95 Civic)
What is the best method to remove the mount? I don't want to hack up the sheetmetal when removing the mount. Some say use a titanium step drill bit, another says 23/64" drill bit, dewalt 3/8 drill bit with pilot tip, spot weld remover bit......
Anyone have any experience with this? What does a spot weld remover bit look like??
Thanks for any help

easiest way is to drill out the welds. and youll need a drill bit that can cut through metal, and is wide enough to break through the whole spot. theres no "right" tool because theres a million ways of doing it.
i just dont suggest a spot weld remover... its basically just the tip of a drill bit, but with more blades... they wear out quick and end up being pretty useless. ive removed mounts from bays before, i usually just use a titanium drill bit.

Re: (cpmike)
I ended up using the stepped drill bit, and took it slowly until I drilled out most of the welds. Then it's up to using the crowbar to pry it off. If you're concerned about aesthetics then you can grind down what remains.
