best transmission
I would like to get some opinions on the best transmission for my application. I am building a 85 crx track car. It will be powered by a 1.8l gsr motor punched out to 84mm With all of the normal all motor stuff: oliver rods, wiesco pistons, a set of custom cams based on the Realtime racing ITR profile, ferrea valve train,hondata engine management. and so on. I would like to stay with a cable transmission but at this point I am open to other suggestions. I have a new oem 93 ls cable transmission and a quaife diff for it but I think the ratois may be too wide to be of any use on the track. If any of you guys can help me out Iwould be greatful.

If you had the option to go to a hydro transmission over the YS1 cable transmission which hydro transmission would be the best combination for this application. Are the parts harder to find for the earlier cable transmissions? Would parts availability sway your opinion to use the YS1.
