Best Swap for civic ex '98
i have a honda civic ex '98 i want to swap the 1.6 sohc stock engine for a dohc, what would be the best swap that would give me the best horsepower but with minor modifications?????

If this is something you are looking to do then please serious inquires only.... This is a full swap complete with all you need to drop into new car. Crv block with 2000 Si (b16) head. Apoximate miles are 35,000 on block and about 40k on the head... Motor pu together by reputible shop... Section 8 motor works. Please contact me if interested. 949-230-6868 ask for Kris...

is the b18c1 by any chance the integra gsr engine cuz i was told by a couple of friends that the integra gsr engine would be way better than an SI engine because the gsr engine is alot lighter than the SI

yes the b18c1 is gsr b18c5 type R but i hate to tell you this but i think your friends are idiots because the SI engine is b16a2 which is alot lighter than a b18 or a b20b with an SI head on it (b16a2 head) but if i was you i would go for the b18c1 revs higher and better hp and torque numbers the b20b is a suv motor it redlines at 6500 rpms and it makes great torque numbers but lacks the rev that you need but as soon as i get some money its teggy time for my civic b18c1 is going in my 98 ex
