Default Best stock intake and exhaust setup for H22 EK Civic

I want a total sleeper look and sound. Does anyone have suggestions and pictures of what works for a stock intake and exhaust? For example, if you use a stock civic airbox, what intake tube setup can me made to work and if you use a stock prelude muffler what piping size should be used?

um, you really ought to use a prelude intake just to be safe.

as for exhaust, if you want stock looking then get a prelude muffler and have a shop make the piping the same size as the prelude exhaust (which is 2.25 i think?)

any reasons you want it to appear totally stock?

cool, thanks, i will look for a prelude airbox and muffler

i wanted it stock to quiet things down a bit (from inside the car and outside), i guess i just like the car to be a sleeper, as if there is no way to tell the car has had anything done to it, i know that may be strange but i like that

anyone else have any experience with stock airboxes or exhausts? pictures???

naw thats totally cool man. i know exactly what youre sayin. i wanted to get my ek22 swap to look all stock and stuff, but i couldnt really get ahold of any prelude parts at the time (for cheap prices) so i decided to buy a cheapo intake and custom exhaust work.

i think your best bet for the intake thing is to get your airbox for the lude installed and everythign, then measure out the length needed for the tube, and fix somewhere that can give you one thats about the right size. i would imagine though that the lude intake tube would fit with minor fabwork.

I agree with you about finding a stock lude airbox, now I just need to find one. I looked up one at car-part.com and a junkyard had it for $50. Then I will make it work. I did see a 99 civic Si airbox for sale on here but I'm not sure if the intake tube will fit the throttle body
