best standalone system for k series ej1?
best STANDALONE STANDALONE STANDALONE STANDALONE STANDALONE STANDALONE STANDALONE STANDALONE STANDALONE STANDALONE
if you did not get the messege by now
HONDATA K_PRO IS NOT A STANDALONE ENGINE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM< IT IS AN INTERNAL PIGGY BACK UNIT UTILZING THE OEM HONDA ECU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and a reflash from their site is ot even close to a standalone before one of you suggest it
now onto the my choces:
Motec -most expensive, and arguably the best engine mangment system out there, but it is wayyyyyyyyyy out of my price range.
AEM EMS- a good idea in my book, only a few hundred dollars more than hondata (the piggy back) and most resaonbly priced, however alot of people complain about its lack of features compared to motec
Megasquirt- the best thing about this is PRICE, literally this thing is $249, however no harnesses are aval (does not bother me) and it is the MOST adaptable unit out there, thats freewares strength afterall. i am seriously considering this the MOST since i can modify it (legally) to suit my ablitys and what i need in my engine management.
Haltech e6 -i have no expericnce withit, my friend suggested them to me, i heard eggum ran this in her car
Electromotive Tec3 -i just looked at this via google LOL any experiences/bad ideas?
right now i am considering megasquirt or AEM
