I have my car at the exhaust place right now. They are saying the best they can do is 2.25" in straight pipe. I wanted 2.5" since it will mate directly on the hytech collector. I have the euro r (h22a) in a 92 civic, any suggestions?

Direct quote " With the bends that we need to make the 2.5" piping will collapse on itself" I found that hard to believe. I know there isnt that huge of a difference from 2.25" but its my car and I wanna pay to have it done my way

Sounds to me like they don't want to do the work. I as well as many other people have 2.5" piping on my hatch. There should be no reason why they can't fit 2.5" piping without any trouble, I know people with 3" piping. If they are feeding you this then I wouldn't even deal with them but rather go to another shop.

2.5piping mandreal bent, nothing beats that! , if they don't want to do the bends for you can buy them from Vibrant.

2.5" will work with any H22 setup, even a 12:1 comp H22 setup, per my friend's setup. Just have a good muffler and (if you don't want a raspy sound) glasspak resonator somewhere along the B-pipe section. Cat converter is optional but "recommended for street use"

What sort of muffler would u advise? Maybe even an axle back bolt on ?

sounds like they wanna do "cruch bent pipes" which is pretty hard to do on 2.5 in piping...any compitent exhaust fab guy can do 2.5 in mandrel...id find someone who does mandrel and knows what their doin!
