If it's for the street...i'd recommend going with the stage 2s. I believe all the skunk cams are in the neighborhood of $700-750. Look to upgrade ur valvetrain with stage 2s.

The stage 2's are pretty much identical to JUN3s. That'll probably tell you how much of a pure race cam stage 3s are then. Good luck on ur choice!

I have a skunk 2 stage 1 cam on my GSR engine.
One thing I notice is the dips when vtec engages and IAB opens.
U feel them when driving on the highway specially when the speed is broderline vtec-off and on and u keep transitioning in and out.

To be honest, its really annoying. I think its because the lobe difference between the 2 profiles is big that the engine looses intake air velocity.

Have you gotten ur car tuned? Or is this just dropping in the cams?

Yes the cams have been tuned. The best so far is +1 intake and +1 exhaust.
Dip is still there, not as bad but still annoying on the transition.

The good part is after the dip, u really feel the surge from 6,000-8500 rpms.

Some say use VAFC to mask the dip. I believe it could help but not eliminate as the lobe difference is big enough to alter intake and exhaust velocity momentarily.
In the end, it was a choice between really stong torque and HP in the low revs then big dip then back on power VERSUS Slightly milder low revs, unoticable dip then power surge.
I chose the dip with stong low. I'll just try to avoid cruising borderline vtec.
