get two 2-1/2" dynomax race bullets $27.95 ea. from summit. and a Magnaflow street muffler in your style of choice. $120?? get 1 race bullet welded in just behind the cat or header and the other back before the first 90 degree bend and the muffler welded on.

This is the best way to make a super sleeper. Magnaflow's are super quiet.

Race bullets act as resonators. they are only availible in 2.5" in/out but thats ok. I run as many as i can fit and it still flows awesome but quiet, until vtec then it is really deep sound

Yup. My buddy has the same exhaust. It's surprisingly quiet until vtec engages. Take a looks:

i had a 93 dx with a h22 and i had a 2.5 magnaflow muffler with no cat just one resonator and a little turn down so i wouldn't get any soot on the bumper. it was quiet i even lined up a couple races and heard the kids friend say you will beat him he has stock exhaust and i worked the kid it was funny as hell and i never got pulled over.

ES tuning oval painted flat black https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emthup.gif Throw on a cat and resonator and it'll be nice low and deep.

just keep what you have now and add a resonator and it should be a lot quieter

Heh, looks like mine from 2 years ago....

http://www.jdmshit.com/car-newpicts/images/REAR1.jpg

It was a cheap $20 Pepboys "high flow" muffler with 2.5" inlet/outlet (off center as shown, but that look grew on me as it kind of resembled a Greddy SP muffler w/out the tip), 2.5" piping from the Hotshot header (with 3" to 2.5" reducer), and a long 30" glasspak muffler acting as a resonator. Sounded very quiet and deep at idle and for daily driving.... loud when in VTEC (no cat... with the cat on, VTEC was considerably more quiet). FACT: the longer the glasspak/resonator, the less raspy your exhaust will sound. Paint it flat black and it looks & sounds almost stock.... very sleeper-like for a H22 Civic https://honda-tech.com/forums/images...es/emsmile.gif

I have a 2.5" in/outlet 14" magnaflow oval muffler (es oval imitation https://honda-tech.com/forums/images...es/emsmile.gif ) and 2 14" magnaflow resonators 2.5" in diameter w/ 2.5" piping. I also do not have a cat. The exhaust is pretty deep but not loud or raspy whatsoever. In fact at high rpms, my intake can be heard over my exhaust. There is no buzzing or anything throughout the entire rev range and at WOT.

I used to only have one 14" resonator. It was significantly louder and buzzed like crazy in vtec and at full throttle. I added the second one cuz I couldn't take the bumble bee-ness. It made a HUGE difference.

O and I also have a little angled dump tip on the end of the muffler. It looks kinda stupid, but you can't tell the diameter of the muffler outlet. Plus it really keeps your bumper clean and shoots some of the exhaust noise at the ground.

I can agree it's quiet, but not exactly the most sleeper exhaust.
