Belt squeal after putting in a B18C into a 98 civic
I put in a a JDM B18C into my 98 civic 4 dr. I did everything you need to like change all the drive belts, change the timming belt, water pump, etc. Well its been about 2 months now and my car is starting to make loud squealing. the belts have less than 3000 milies on them. With the engine swap i also removed all my ac stuff but i still have power steering. The guy at the shop was trying to tell me that since i removed my ac i lost the power steering belt tensioner. I don't think this is the problem please help me out.

Definitely check the timing belt - make sure tension is in spec and that it's not rubbing anywhere. Removing the AC should have nothing to do with it. Just check the belt tension on all belts and try to pinpoint the problem.
