B20Z - CRV or B18C????
I have a '95 CX hatch and would like opinions on which engine setup pto go with:
- B18C: Stroker, Full TODA spec B internals
- B20Z: B16A2 Head and full TODA spec B internals
The TODA will take a while $ and both are NA and they will be daily drivers
thanks

Re: B20Z - CRV or B18C???? (B18C-Hatch13)
If it were me, I'd have the B18c resleeved to 2.0 (or bigger.) If you don't want to do that, a B20 would be nice if done correctly (crank girdle, oil squirters, etc.) Of course it really depends on what your goals are... you'll need to be able to rev high safely to get the full benefit of the b-specs and be reliable. Revving a b20 bottom end or a stroked b18 to 9k would worry me.

Depends on how in-depth you're looking to get. Cliff notes version: Both a stroker kit and sleeving + boring increase displacement. Stroking does so by lengthening the stroke (the distance the piston moves up and down.) Sleeving is done for greater strength and/or to allow the sleeves to be bored out to a larger diameter than stock, obviously increasing displacement.

The Toda B and C thrive in the high RPM ranges and that's exactly what you dont wanna do with a B20 unless it's built to hell.
Girdle, Internals, Balancing, Etc Etc Etc

Build a ******* GSR.

bore and sleeve a b16a to a 1.8 then rev to hell. all the toda stroker kit is b16a rods and a gsr crank with toda pistons. and you lose your 1.74 r/s in favor for a 1.54 r/s . witch is lower than a gsr.
