Default B20VTEC dyno results

Incase you dont visit the ITR forum...here is is...

<IMG SRC="http://www.orbit3d.com/view.phtml?id=528.jpg
" BORDER="0">
206.4 @ 7650 Horsepower
151.7 @ 6200 Torque

B20VTEC
11.95:1 CR
Stock B16A2 head
97 Spec R cams
ITR manifold
JDM ITR header
Cold Air intake
Tanabe B-Pipe/ES Tuning muffler
Mugen chip w/ VAFC
Cam gears at 0,0 (not tuned0
Timing: 15 degrees
91 Octane
VTEC: 4900

The car likes to run really weird. Modereate a/f ratio in the midrange, WAY rich in the top end. I tried leaning out the top end and lost around 6 WHP!
The ignition timing is set at 15 degrees, advancing anymore caused detonation.
I tried lowering the VTEC point and the top end started to dive, Im not sure if that spike is due to the VTEC or the CAI effect.

Im pleased with the results, I think the cam gear tuning will yield some more power, especially midrange. Im hoping for 210 HP / 155-160 TQ on stock R cams

I hate you!!!!j/k
That's so awesome man. Maybe some more aggressive cams and more tuning and you can hit the 210whp mark.

Have you ran it yet down the 1320?

I think I might be able to hit 210 on these cams with tuning...we will have to see.
If I throw in some aftermarket cams, I think 215-220 is definately possible.

Ill be hitting the track once I tune the cam gears which will be in a couple weeks.

What pistons are you using? I've been watching your progression as I've been working on my setup and I can't wait to have mine done. I'm glad with your numbers and look forward to having a little better numbers with mine.

Congrats!

You say Endyn mid-domes. I thought they only had low and high comp pistons? I'll be running the 84.5mm ones. Please clear that up for me if you would.

Please see the latest HCI mag with article by Holdener on VTEC controllers wherein he describes VTEC spikes and valleys and how to adjust based on these dyno findings.

He appears to describe severe upward spikes (much more marked than yours), and suggests dropping the x-0ver. Not sure about yours according to that as you may lose top end.....

Knowing that you were NA I was assuming you were either using the NA low or NA high. I see what you are using now. The NA low pistons.

Yea....Compare his Budget B20 Buildup with ITR Cams and Not Much Tuning. To your completely built B20\VTEC with Jun 3s...Real good comparision. Anyways, your only making 9 More Peak Torque. basically you have a Ported Head and are turning more rpm w\ Bigger Cams...and probably a DoEs AnYoNe KnOw WheRe I CaN GeT SoMe StRObE LiTEZ AnD LiGhT uP WiNdShiElD NoZzLeS??ing SMSP Header. Oh yea...your poo poo was also dyno'd on a Dyno that is Notoriously High. Nice attempt at punking...Did I mention that you turned 1000 more rpm? Ported Head, Bigger Cams...yadda yadda yadda.
