just swapped my b20vtec in my 00 crv and its not firing up.

things i've tried:
changed dizzys
new plugs
checked mechanical timing
different basemaps
cleaned grounds

motor is:
b20 bottom
gsr head
itr cams
b16 dizzy
00 SI engine harness
blox intake
holley 70mm tb
rc310cc injectors

motor spins super smooth, its getting fuel i smell the gas, backfires every once in a while(into both intake and exhaust), just wont fire up. plugs arent fouled, plug wires are on dizzy in 1342 pattern, 45psi fuel pressure.

s300 in a p28.

any other info needed just ask. this is my DD so i need it fixed asap. all parts are brand new except block, head, cams.

got a new dizzy today and it fired right up but it sounds like a diesel

i did valve lash adjustment, set dizzy timing and made sure firing order is correct and it still sounds odd.

What does your compression test tell you? Sounds dumb but do you have all your spark plug wires in the right spot on the dizzy? Sounds like it could use some tuning.

actually i figured it out, loose injector clip. runs like a boss now.

but yeah, 220 across the board
