B20v compression help

Currently building a b20v. Built b20b block, stock sleeves, block gaurd. Stock resurfaced pr3 head. I've calculated my CR to be at 9.7:1. I plan on boosting this setup but I need to sell the b16a currently in my car to get the funds so I wanna put the b20v in, run it with no boost while I sell the b16a. I figure it will serve as a break in period and I can tune out of boost. I know drive ability might be an issue with the low compression but will it be a total dog??? Any and all input/advice welcome.....even the people that are about bash me for doing this lol

No it won't be a dog, it's just shy of 10:1 which is fairly reasonable for any DD pump gas application. Keep in mind the factory spec B20B is 9.2/9.6:1 and not too many folks complain about that.

Dare I say you may just decide to leave it NA?

Thanks for the input kp. By "calculate" I mean I used an online compression calculator. Are those things accurate? The inputs were stroke, bore, comp height, how much milled off head, deck height, gasket and dome cc. And as far as leaving it NA, my goal is at least 200hp, with that being said, I don't think 9.7:1 will achieve that. Am I wrong?
