B20B or Z into 94 LS ???
is a straight up swap? anything special required to make it work? whats the difference between the B and Z and what kind of hp and tq does it make over the b18

it's a straight drop in. I think you have to use you b18 intake manifold. The b20 sits to high. The usdm b20 has 146hp and 133tq.

nothing special. might need to swap the mount over, as well as the intake, (depends on the b20 you get)

I'm doing a b20b swap into my GSR right now (to tide me over while I build my 1.9L gsr) and it's pretty straight forward. I'm using my GSR wire harness, alternator, axles, drivers side mount, tranny, and PS system.
It's about as straightforward a swap as there is.

if they aren't the same->there is a .8 difference in compression
horsepower is not the same
differen't redlines
different cams
different RPM's that peak tq appear at...
but yes, JDM B20B = USDM B20Z
