stock hood..hasport mounts. when i first closed the hood it rubbed. i adjusted the latch and the rubber bumpers and i now have about 1/2 inch clearance. it's tight, but fits w/ stock hood!

I just thought I'd chime in as a noob and show some B20 love. Here's a link to some pics of my POS hatch. It has a front lip now and a stock airbox, but it's pretty much still the same. Comments are welcome (good or bad).

Your car looks really nice man! Not a big fan of the fogs, even though they're JDM and everything hehe...Nice color choice too, it's different.

Have any 1/4 mile times yet?

Low compression B20's and a bad driver make for pretty bad times. But my best was a 15.6 at 88mph. It's fun but it's not fast. I'll be getting a T3/T04 for it this winter (hopefully). Then maybe my times will improve.

Here's a set up some lunatic I know is running.

b20

P&P head = had it done by a now defunct company. Port Flow would be his next choice.

Crower Drag Cams = yes there big but work well with the overall package.
Titanium single valve springs. = you should not need duals with titanium valve retainers, buckets and larger slightly lighter valves.
TWM individual throttle bodies = again work well with the complete package.
Hondata IM gasket with coolant bypass.
Custom header 1 piece exhaust with o2 emulator and JET hot Coated. Straight out the back and under the fuel tank.
C&R radiator with built in electric water pump
Crower billet crank = originally used for thier stroker kit for b16/b18 but is an exact copy of b20.
Crower titanium rods and custom 12.9:1 zero silicone pistons with total seal rings with the Dykes top ring.
Moroso dry sump oil pan with extra line used to scavenge breather line into tank.
NEO Ow5 synthetic.
Remote oil filter with cooler.
Fidanza or CM flywheel and ACT 4 puck springless hub with extreme pressure plate
Quaife ATD
ATS Cross built 96 spec r trans with 4.91 final drive
AEM fuel rail with RC 410 injectors.

This set up is nuts and is street driven tuned by a TEC 2. Pushing a well built 1900 pound EK with yokohama imported a048R tires.

Power to the wheels is........ top secret and will remain that way.
....... awe no times or hp numbers to share... that sucks man I hope your not just playing with us hehe... But at least give us a few numbers to think about.

i'm thinking no more than 180hp and 155lbs
because it is very hard to make even that much HP on a non-vtec motor w/out stokeing it. Nice setup BTW.

"Z10 block girdle"
how is this usefull? i know its some sort of bar that bolts to the block i think to keep it from twisting due to the tq. but can some one please explain to me what it exactly does and where it goes. other mods to be done for this z10 girdle.
is it a must?
what company makes them.
where can i get this and how much?
thank you guys.

all of you have nice setups. ill post later and see what i have.
thank you.

Well the GSR and Type R motors come with a block girdle stock. It helps to keep the Crank steady when you're revving the ***** out of your motor. The b16 does not have one because of it's much better r/s ratio.

I bought the Z10 block girdle, but the GSR/Type R one can also be machined to fit.

To install a block girdle PROPERLY, you need to have the main caps on the crank dowelled and align honed after you bolt on the girdle. You will also need a GSR/Type R oil pan, pump pick-up, windage tray (also main caps and dowels i believe). The block girdle connects your main caps over the crankshaft together, stabilizing them.

Now if you don't plan on revving past the stock B20 redline, a block girdle isn't necessary. It's more of a "piece of mind" thing...

I got one because I think I'm going with a JDM Type R tranny....when I'm revving at 4500+ RPM on the highway, I won't worry so much...

thx.
so the z10 is NOT just a basic bolt on.
there are other parts that need to be collected:
GSR/Type R oil pan, pump pick-up, windage tray, .....etc....??? - means headache.
but i know if i dont get the z10 i will get more headache.
btw, whats the stock b20 redline?
thank you.

yeah right unless thats turbo i don't see how a allmotor can make 340-360hp

wtf the accord touring cars were making over 400hp with no restrictors on destroked to 2.0L non vtec prelude motors. With the restrictors in place they still made 340-360 depending on team.

180 must be your idea of a joke.

JDM B20B checking in here.......

not sure what my plans are but for now I am non-vtec . Tryin out to see how much i can get out of the B20 w/out vtec or turbo.

I ran a 14.8 on this setup: 1992 Civic VX (Full interior), stock 13 vx wheels, JDM B20B, LS manifold, P75(LS) ECU, LS tranny, no cat, stock VX exhaust all the way back.

Current setup: no times yet...soon after ACT Stage II installed.
JDM B20B, AEM ITR CAI, DC JDM 4-1 Header, 2.5 carsound cat, 2.5 pipes to 2.5 magnaflow resonator, 2.5 magnaflow oval muffler painted flat black, LS wheels & tires, STR Pro 570 cam gears, and APEXi V-AFC......will use the vtec feature if i decide to go vtec .

That's me......exterior looks all stock

how much faster does your car feel after you hooked up the exhaust? you should also look into a skunk2 manifold to fix the *over 6K rpm* thing.

At top end it feels great much better.....over 6k thing? u mean power up top after 6k? The b20's power dies out around there doesn't it plus the ecu i am using is the P75 and i think it has a rev limit at 6,800...cause it is the LS ECU. let me know ur opinion on the skunk2 mani. I don't know if i am goin to get one since it seems to do so lil unless u tell me otherwise, but like i said b4 i am not sure if i will be putting on a vtec head or going force induction.
