Default B20b-D16 obd-2 ecu- Crank Angle Sensor?

A friend has a b20b, and d16 (non-vtec) harness and ecu(obd-2, 2000). The harness plugs perfectly into everything on the motor, except the b20 doesn't have a crank angle sensor like the d16. Can this ecu control it without the sensor, or does one need to be added?

Thanks!
Andy

your using the d series ecu? the only way to get around a cel is using an ecu that doesnt check it...

Would it be better to use a differant ecu, or will the d series work fine (with cel)?

Do you mean the crankshaft fluctuation sensor mounted near the crank pulley? The B20 has it.

I have an extra one laying around. You can have it for like $10.

Awesome sounds good. If you email me we can work out the details, andy@ins-brokers.com . The d series non vtec ecu will run the b20b won't it?

Thanks!
