Default B20/VTEC builders... Will this be the way to go??

Im going to do my first B20/VTEC and Im pretty mechanically skilled ... Ive taken apart engines and rebuilt them.

Anyone know of good sites to visit for a thorough reading or a member that is willing to help through the process??

Also wat do you guys think of buying a first gen B16A and breaking it down than buying a B20 bare longblock and putting it together....

Thanks.

anymore things I should consider??

Ask away. I will help where I can or I will send you in the right direction.

What are your plans for it?

Why not just look for a VTEC head? I would recommed putting pistons and rods in it though, not just bolting the thing together.

Alright found a deal on a complete first gen B16A head.... its all the same right?

Now I gotta find the block and I'll take your advice to buy rods and pistons.....

I think wiring is where Im gonna need the most help....

What harness to use and what ecu.... Since I have a first gen head, and B20 block... my car is an OBD2 97 DX.

Thanks I appreciate it.

How much you looking to spend? Fi or NA?

I am using a 1g b16 head, and I would suggest different cams.
The ecu norm seems to be the chipped p28, which is what I have too.

Engine harness? I am using my stock 89 CRX Si engine harness. I did have to add a couple of things, but nothing major.
