B20 swap, piecing it together question
I was just wondering how many people actually pieced together a full swap. Or should I just ask and see if they have a full swap? I'll be getting this from Hmotors.
The car is a 00 civic ex.
If I'm not mistaken correctly all 94-01 integ stuff will be a direct swap? Also could I use my ecu and harness since it's a sohc vtec?
Thanks

I did mine into an EG but I did get the longblock from hmotors. it was a super clean motor. What year is yours going to be?

Yeah I got a B20Z, i just put a gsr tranny on it, an LS intake mani, some ls headers, a P75 ECU and I was ready to roll, its a real easy swap. Also I used an obd2 integra engine harness, the 94+ integra harnesses can be used with an obd1 car like mine.

Re: (itslogics)
Since the CRV is bassed on the civic to start with all the mounts will work execpt the tranny mount. You need one from a 99-00 civic si. Your d series ac compressor will bolt up to the crv bracket and the ps line mathes up with the crv ps pump. other than that your ex engine harness will work you just have to extend a few wires. As for the ecu I am not sure on that. also I know for a fact that the integra harness will not work cause its a 2 piece and the civic is a 1 piece.

If you are planning to do a CRV longblock then you would have no choice other than to piece the swap together considering you can't use (easily that is) the CRV tranny, intake manifold, etc. You will need to get a B series hydro tranny, linkage and axles, 99-00 Si rear mount bracket, LS intake manifold and an LS ECU. If you are able to backdate to OBD1 then get a 94-95 OBD1 LS ECU. If not, get an OBD2B 00-01 LS ECU.

Any news?
You gotta let me know how hmotors shipped your long block. The shipping company sat on my motor for a week. I actually had to call them and ask them where my motor is

I would get a complet swap of a b18b and hone out the cylinder to become 2.0. Its basicly the same thing but You will have a sleeper engine. they loook at the engine code of a b18 but its really a 2.0. ITs cheaper to do that than find parts and the b20 bblock is a little more than a b18 block. You need to get pistons but atleast you can up the compression instead of the 9:5 or 10: (not sure of the compression ratio) something compression in the b20 block.
