Default B20 Crank Pulley Question, Take a look at this Pic, please...

Hope someone understands what I mean. Do I just go buy a woodruff key and shave it down so its flush with the pulley?

1999 GSR on the left. 1997 B20 on the right. They both use a woodruff key.

Ok, got it. There are two keys required according to acuraautomotiveparts.net. The dealer was wrong I guess. Thanks everyone.

A pulley didn't come with my longblock. That's the only reason, really. I found a 2001 LS one for $25 (and it came with 3 belts) 17k miles. Ebay heh heh...

Anyway, I bought a key today, and everything was good.

Also, a B20 pully will overdrive your alternator at higher RPM's. Its good to go with a smaller one off another B series engine.

Ya thats good to know, the B20B pulley seemed larger than an LS one, so I was either gonna get a aluminum LS one or just use the one of my LS, that way I can still get LS sized belts.

Then again won't a smaller pulley make the belt turn faster, in other words the B20 pulley would make everything turn slower.

I think basically, the ls pulley will turn my dx a/c compressor and alternator closer to the speeds it used to turning
