Re: B18C5 or K20A into a 92 dx hatch (litterbox)
K series motors are the future. They have WAY more potential over B series motors. A cold air intake ads something like 13whp alone. I want to see any B series motor do that. Yea, there are dyno's to back that number up too.
a TODA racing engine package would put a 92 dx hatch well into the 12's with good tires. Thats just basically cams, fueling re-map, header, intake, exhaust. That setup isnt even close to the max that you could go NA on that motor. Hytech is working on the K20A NA going 300whp.
Plus, you get a sweet 6-speed!

A K20A2 with CAI, exhaust (if its CARB approved), the stock header will for sure be street legal. The TODA engine kit would probably not make it legal...but if a cop can pop your hood and tell that you have cams, and ECU work done, then you deserve the ticket.
A K20A I hear can be made legal, but its a pain. But why would you want a K20A over an A2? LSD? you would probably want to change out the factory one for a Quaiffe anyways. Higher redline? with a TODA kit that wont even matter. Better gearing? You can just put that on the A2 motor if you really want that. More HP and Torque out of the box? you can buy all the stuff that puts that extra power into the K20A, and put it on your A2 so then you would still have the LEGAL A2 motor, with extra factory power. Red valve cover? come on...really? Oh I get it, maybe you just want to spend the extra $2000 that it costs to have the K20A for bragging rights. Thats your own deal, but I know what I would do.

Of course K series. H22A vs K20A is a better match because of the low cost of the H22A swap compared to the K20A.
Most places still sell the b18c5 for the price you can buy a k20a swap.

But i might just keep the b18c5 becuz i heard the k20a motorswap was hard to do, Also what kindof headers would you use if i did that mtor swap
And theres no EF with an running k20 and if it is running its useing the rsx harness and the axels are at a 45 degree angle.
