Default B18C5 into EK (97 Hatch DX)

Alright... the ONLY reason I am asking this after searching is maybe there are new products out, new users looking to voice their opinion etc. So please... ease off the use search button.

i've got my hands on a b18c5 and looking to put it in my EK, i've got pretty much everything figured out what I need with motor mounts etc, the only question I had was exhause wise. what is needed? what bolts right up. Looking for opinions on how and what to look for and make sure I have for the swap.

I am using a stock GSR exhaust with my swap (B18C1 in a 2000 hatch). In fact, it's at the muffler shop right now getting all the stuff put on.

If you want aftermarket, I am sure anything for a civic hatch will do fine fitment wise, although you might have to reweld the flanges to make it bolt up.

The only reason I am doing a stock setup is to get the car refed in CA, otherwise I would have picked up something aftermarket.

projectEK9 - if this is somethign you want to do, I can let you know how my install went. The place I am using is called Undercar Service in San Jose.

So the guy did a pretty good job. I got to keep the mid-pipe I wanted, he cut it up and made everything fit for $75. Gave me some spring bolts for free too, because I didn't bring any of my own.

The one thing that sucked (not his fault though) is that neither the GSR nor the RSX mufflers that I had fit under a 00 hatch, so I ended up using the 5Zigen that was on the car originally, at least for now.

The guy's name is Lenny, tell him Gleb (with a white civic hatch) sent you.

Good luck!
