Default B18C5 INTO 93 INTEGRA LS??

I was aproached to swap a B18c5 (type R) into a 93 integra Ls. I did a search and didn't get a lot of info.
Is the 93 integra OB0?
I believe the B18C5 is OB2
I think the engine will bolt in. I plan to use the Cable tranny from the Ls.
what kind of wiring do I have to do. I plan on buying the OB0 to OB2 harness.
and I asume I have to add a couple of wires for the Vtec Solenoid (A4) Vtec oil pressure (D6) and Knock (D3). is every thing else just plug and play. or do I need more info. if there is a link that would be hepl full or any comments would be great.
Thanks

Your LS is obd-1, use the ITR tranny with a Hasport tranny conversion. Double check on the drivers side engine mount bracket that connects the mount to the engine, not the one that goes into the framerail bracket. I believe you would just use your LS engine mount bracket, as they are different. The rest of the LS mounts should be fine.

why the ITR tranny instead of the Ls tranny. the guy is only paying me so much do do this. and the engine and ecu is cheaper than buying the whole package. plus he just put a nice race clutch in the car about a month ago.

Isn't the ITR Tranny hydrolic. that means I have to spend more money on the conversion. And if I'm not mistaken I would have to get a different mount for the tranny.
I know the gear ratios are different.
I took the tranny out of my B16A and got a used Ls tranny for $50 and with the extra HP from all of the internal engine work, I was really happy with it. I could still keep it in Vtec and I had a higher top speed. I live in canada the land of long un-patrolled highways. Top speed is good.

Can some one please tell me why I shouldn't keep the Ls tranny. and why the ITR is so much better.

4.7 final drive(maybe), LSD......ITR tranny all the way. Spend the extra money for the conversion kit and tranny bracket if you need it.

It isn't for me it is for a customer. If it was mine I would spent the cash. as it is I'm tring to save money. on the swap. are all the ITR tranys LSD. and B series cable tranny will work. I might have a non LSD B16 5spd. in the shed. it is not for sale they are too hard to come buy.

If you want your customer or friend to be happy as an end result, I would tell him that coupling a high revving ITR engine to his tall geared LS cable tranny is like making a 5 year old kid pedal a mountain bike in high gear. His little legs like to pedal more with less load. That LS tranny will bog down the ITR motor and he will not be happy.

Honda doesnt just pair up any motor and tranny with no regards to gearing. Run the ITR engine with its own ITR geared tranny. Since his DA Integra is 93, at least its OBD1. Just run the motor with a chipped P28, hondata, or use a conversion harness to run a P73 ecu.

Please dont couple that gem of a ITR engine to his tall geared LS cable tranny. I explain this to many 90-93 DA Integra owners who want to B16 their cars but use their LS tranny to "keep it cheap".

Oh yeah, it will bolt up alright and work, but the gearing wont match the peaky, high revving, torqueless Honda motors.

Do what you want, but I guarantee your friend, customer, will be disappointed when his "TYPE R" engined Integra is not so quick with that LS tranny.

Part of being a shop is to discuss what the outcome will be and not get so envolved in "MAKING A SALE". If the customer wants to save money by not getting the tranny along with the appropriate motor, so be it, but at least you told them what outcome they may be expecting.

I had a customer that only bought the B16 engine from me. He said he didnt have the money to get the complete package with tranny. He coupled it to his stock LS tranny. Months later after driving around and racing against his friends, he came back only to say.....

"Ya know, you were right Tony, I should have just saved up and got the appropriate tranny with the B16. That LS gearing is just "*******" down my B16."

I warned him! He now discusses all future ideas with me first to get my opinion. He has sent many friends my way and has become a key customer that refers many people to me. He has told me himself, no other shop he used to deal with would take the time or have the knowledge to discuss his project. " They just wanted to make a sale right then and there."

Thank you Tony. You have explained this well. I'm not a Shop I'm just a guy that every one around here seems to know about. I get phone calls from people I don't know who want me to change there engine, suspension, brakes sterio .... I don't I've got all the tools. I try to explain to most of the people who try to do things cheap, you get what you pay for.
