B18C1 Wiring Swap info
I've been searching for information on the whole wiring stuff while doing a b18c1 swap, i'm still somewhat unclear. I have a 94 delsol si (d16z6 motor), from what i've read, there is an engine harness (part 1) that connects to another harness (part 2) at the shock tower that goes directly into the cab of car (into ECU) right? I can pretty much use the b18c1 engine harness and connect that in with the existing harness (part 2) from the del sol right? No unnecessary wiring of any sort yet right? Then pull wire pin from a17 to a20 on ecu plug? I'm not understanding this. A17 is IAB solenoid right? And A20 is the evap purge solenoid? i read in other post that i switch them, is that right? So what happens to the evap purge solenoid? Don't i need that? And how about the knock sensor? I've read so many different things about it, i'm kind of lost on that whole part. i've tried going through the archived and FAQ stuff but didn't get any clear answers. I am using the b18c1's ecu, (p72 right?) and so i won't be chipping or using any other ECU, (this needs to be BAr'd). Any help will truly be appreciated.

THIS IS ABSOLUTELY WRONG...You need to remove the pin from A20 into A17...This will in turn let you run the IAB's...You dont need the evap purge hooked up, if you look at the housing for the IAB plug, it looks just like the evap from your Civic...Now you will need to reuse your STOCK ENGINE HARNESS...Kapish...Since your car came with VTEC, no need to wire in the KNOCK SENSOR...you already have that plug from your OLD HARNESS (I believe the SOHC VTEC engine has a knock sensor already)...So all in all plug and play for sure...Also since you already have VTEC, you wont need to wire that in as well when reusing your engine harness...Not so bad huh...
