b18c1 into da9 won't start
Hey guys, I just swapped a `97 b18c1 into my obd0 `91 Integra. For some background, I replaced the headgasket, replaced the valve seals, replaced all pistons rings, it has AEBS head studs, brand new spark plugs, brand new battery, aftermarket 1st gen blox/skunk2 intake manifold?(non-stamped p72 or marked/engraved aftermarket...weird?,) *OBD0 b18a1 throttle body, OEM OBD0 injectors and resistor box*, supertech flat faced valves, blox red cam gears, obd1 p72 ECU, obd1 VTEC distributor marked TD68, OBD0 to 0BD1 conversion subharness, and OBD0 to 0BD1 ecu jumper harness.
Now that you have some background, I cannot find out why it will not start. It is getting fuel to the rail (loosened end cap and fuel came out,) it is getting fuel to the plugs (plugs smelt of gas and were wet after flooding them,) it is getting spark (got spark between plug and screwdriver,) Timing is 100% on. I realize sometimes with replacing rings, that it may take a bit to start, but I tried cranking it over about 30 times over a 3 hour period. The engine rotates really well.
I jumped the ECU and am getting 3 codes:
10 - IAT (Intake Air Temperture)
12 - EGRS (Exhaust Gas Recirculation System)
20 - ELD (Electronic Load Detector)
As far as I know, none of these problems should stop the engine from starting or running. Obd0 2nd gen Integra's didn't even come with an ELD. I have all plugs from the subharness plugged in over their obd0 variant from the original teg harness. I have all available grounds that the original harness uses, connected to their respective grounds. At this point IDK where to start looking. Maybe I'm trusting the builders of the jumper harness and sub harness too much, in that they havn't errored in making it? Any help or insight guys would be very appreciated.

You have wiring problems... the ELD code is a dead give-away. No P72 ECU has EGR, so I suggest you re-check the codes you believe to be stored. Maybe a video of the check-engine light flashing through the codes a couple-three cycles will help us help you sort this out.

Thanks for the reply JRCivic1.
I ended up flipping the distributor gear 180 degree's and it started right up.
Also it is only flashing a code 20 at this point. Probably because I have A/C, P/S, and some other non-critical sensors unplugged.

ELD means you have power going to a ground location at the ECU... not something like A/C pr P/S unplugged. It could also be the alternator... some JDM alternators do not have the ELD output wire which goes to the under hood fuse box.

As far as I can see/know the 90-91 Integra did not come with or use ELD in the under the hood fuse box. It doesn't show on the fuse diagram and I also checked and couldn't find a relay for it. Checked to make sure all grounds on the harness were grounded and at the right spots. It's not a JDM alternator, I'm reusing the OEM alternator from my b18a1.
Maybe the alternators from a b18a1, also didn't have that output wire?
