b18c1/c5 into a 99 EX
Hey all
Ive done over 12 hybrids.
Never on such a new car though or even a 6th gen for that matter.
Just wanted to make sure I got everything right before I go and swap this for a friend.
Mounts: all integra mounts with a 99+ civic SI rear mount?
Ac bracket: integra ? (he wants to keep his power steering and AC, yea what a sissy hehe)
Wiring: If he goes with a b18c5 then it should be a simply PLUG AND PLAY with no wiring right? the 96+ EX motors came with a knock senor and it already has the VTEC wiring that is necessary. If he goes with the c1 then all I will have to wire in is the butterflies right?
Everything else should be easy and straight forward, just wanted to clear up the AC bracket, power steering stuff (always ditched mine in hybrids) and the wiring.

a/c bracket: if he wants it to bolt up right, get one from a DOHC vtec del sol, if he doesn't mind having only two bolts holding the compressor on, then he can use any b-series bracket..
he's also goin to need the bracket under the cam gears from the 99-00 SI,
as for wiriing, he can use the 99 ex harness or one from an 99-00 SI, 96-98 will not work, different plugs
